Warhammer Tone Pro Paints NOTICE regarding shipping in Winter Months

With the release of the new Warhammer Tone Pro paints, we have some notes of things we have observed that we’d like to pass on to you, our valued customer.

1. Please use the paints as directed on Games Workshop’s website. Warhammer Academy is a good source for tips on using the new paint. Be careful about how much you thin down the paint for standard base coating. Generally speaking we have found it doesn’t require a lot of modification out of the pot.

2. Let your layers dry completely. Paint could break apart if partially cured and you paint over it too soon (we experienced surface layer breakage particularly with the white, Blackstone Void 5). Be patient for best results.

3. We have done freeze/thaw testing with Tone Pro paint as we are based on Ontario, Canada where hobby paints generally don’t do well being shipped in the cold winters (they freeze, and are turned to a cakey-gel kind of goop when thawed and do not function as a smooth paint anymore). We took a few pots of various colours, put them in the freezer overnight, and let them thaw to room temperature for 12 hours or so. Shaking them up again, they surprisingly were good as new with no noticeable problems. This is great as we can ship these paints year-round.
